SUMMARY
This intensive, two-week, 80-hour course provides a comprehensive overview of metal fabrication. Students will learn planning & procurement, cutting and beveling metal, cleaning & preparing joints, welding, and how to inspect and finish fabricated pieces. Students will also gain hands-on experience in this process and participate in a class project. Upon completion, they will be tested and certified. The course is taught in Haitian Creole. Welding Level 1 is a prerequisite for this class. There may be an additional fee for class project materials.

CERTIFICATES
Students are tested in three areas.
 
1) Written test
2) Practical Exam
3) Work ethic, interpersonal skills, leadership

Scores are averaged and students are required to pass with a 70% or higher in order to receive a certificate. Each certificate will indicate what level the student achieved. 

COSTS
The cost of this level 1 course, is $550 USD. A limited number of scholarships are available for qualified students.

JOB PROSPECTS
Students certified from Extollo with a Level 1 certificate will have gained core trade skills for employment. They still need continued experience practicing these newly found skills, but many are equipped to join an experienced crew in their certified trade and some will be ready to even start their own business.
